Gato Loco by land in Loreto (May 3rd)
Western desert view driving across Baja Pacific to the Sea of Cortez Thursday morning will be our last day on the Pacific side of Baja until our drive from La Paz back to Loreto. The Pacific side is too cold for desert dwellers like us. We’re looking forward to the warmer Sea of Cortez. The drive across will be ~175 miles. Our overnight stay at the Malarrimo was good the restaurant even delivered dinner to Pee Wee. It was too cold to eat on the patio with Neely. .<Frankie & Neely with Santa Rosalia behind. . . . . We’ve decide to drive to Loreto today since it’s not far compared to yesterday and Neely has had enough of driving. We thought we would get the drive over today. Driving south we arrive at Mulege another place we love to anchor and spend time at. Last year there was a plan to dredge the river and we see it’s done. I will need to see to the Leg 2 crew made their way up the river in the dinghy..
. . . Next destination Conception Bay. Looks even better from the HW vistas.. . Made it to Loreto at 4 PM and landed in the Rivera RV park 6 blocks north of the plaza central area. Very nice park. The office was closed and other RVs said just find a spot and pay tomorrow. Don’t you love Mexico & they have wireless. Right is our little spot at the Rivera….> Saturday morning and we plan on meeting up with Richard and Kerry mid-day to begin preparing for our week long cruise with them and Bill. Probably going to drive to Loreto Fest this afternoon.
