Mulege to Conception Bay
Wednesday April 30th, 2008
Easy Night at anchorage in Mulege, we woke up and did some minor surgery on the dinghy’s motor. After that we headed into town to look around. We went to an old mission and the abandoned prison which is now a museum. Quick lunch (were Bill discovered that lime seeds and straws make the perfect blow gun), some more beer and ice, and back to Gato Loco we go. 12:50 pm. Sails up, Slow going but we are under sail on way to Conception Bay. Sorry for the quality of the photo’s the one only ones we can upload are via blackberry.
Winds picked up on the way, we flew the spinaker reaching speeds of about 8.2 knots. We pulled up to an island in Conception Bay and did some snorkelling, however there was poor visibility and lots of seaweed. The water was great though. A quick dinner at a local restaurant and some xxl Margaritas (and some more straws and lime seeds) and then back to our boat and off to our anchorage. Quiet night, with a movie and off to bed. new Updates are posted click here Contact us at emailsailors07@gatolocosailing.com Read more about Gato Loco cruises www.GatoLocoSailing.com |
