First leg begins…
It’s late Thursday night and Gato Loco has gone quiet as I write this. The alarm is set for 4 AM to give us a good start on the crossing to Willard Bay about 92 miles SW from Penasco on the Baja coast. It’s been very windy today and we should have good wind tomorrow. Wind has laid down in the past hour which hopefully will allow the seas to settle over night. Provisioning done and crew has gone giddy…..
More news in the morning at 4AM …yikes…. Good night. 4AM : Good Morning, I think! Quick report. Winds light, seas flat, motoring at heading of 200 and 95km to go. It’s going to be a long day. No moon so we see lots of lights on shore. Not much to report except we’re underway. Baja08 has officially started. The Gato Loco Crew – Dave, Dave & Lowell
