Holidays over, the itch always begins to get back on the Sea of Cortez for me. Visions of last summers Europe sailing trip has raised the bar on sailing inspired traveling for us. It only follows that this year’s Baja cruise plans should also have some land travels to explore Baja’s great destinations. Plans include Frankie, Neely and I taking our RV (Pee Wee) to Baja using the ferry between Guaymas and Santa Rosalia. Gato Loco will be in the southern Sea of Cortez for the month of May with home base in Puerto Escondido near Loreto, Baja. Crews will be on Gato Loco and in Pee Wee, so updates will be coming from Land & Sea as they travel independently and rendezvous at Baja’s sea side anchorages. Watch as we cruise from Puerto Penasco to La Paz and back over 2 months. Should be fun!

Here’s a rough cut at a cruising schedule.

Leg 1 – April 12th – 20th to San Carlos – Locked down pretty firmly because we have Mel & Guy’s wedding April 26th.
Crew – Bill, Lowell, Frankie??….
Leg 2 – April 30th – May 6th San Carlos to Puerto Escondido (crew – Bill, …..)
Lowell & Frankie driving RV via Guaymas ferry to Puerto Escondido
Loreto Fest May 1st – 4th
Leg 3 – May 6th – 10th sailing in the area with Lowell, Frankie & Neely. We will be available to sail in Legs 4 – 6.
Leg 4 – May 10th – 17th – open
Leg 5 – May 17th – 24th – open
Leg 6 – May 24th – 31st – open
Leg 7 – May 31st – June 7th back to San Carlos (crew – Bill, …..)
Lowell & Frankie driving RV back to Phx
Leg 8 – June ?? back to Penasco
