I hope you enjoy our site.
I’ve been taking digital pictures for years and created some small web projects. The Gato Loco experience seemed to be a great opportunity to take my photo hobby to a new level and try to organize them in an interesting, informative and creative manner. Comments… lowell-mcculley@cox.net
I was in the computer field since graduating from Arizona State Univ (ASU) in 1972. I retired in 2006 from BULL Information System as a Hardware Engineering manager designing mainframe computers sold throughout the world.
My sailing career started in 1977 when Frankie and I bought our first Hobie cat 16’. We raced competitively through the mid 80’s and bought 2 new Hobie 18’ cats during this period establishing our catamaran tradition.
Mid 80s we moved to a Oday 26’ mono-hull (BuenOday) and got our first taste of adventuring in the Sea of Cortez. We also bought our first home in Cholla Bay near Puerto Penasco.
Mid 90s we moved back to a catamaran buying a Stiletto 27’ cat (Dos Buenos) with some friends. Dos Buenos has made many trips in the Sea but not further south than Bahia De Las Angeles.
We started searching for the next cruising cat a few years ago chartering a Gemini 34’ and Babago 35’ in the Florida area. A trip to the Ockland boat show 2001 finally got us aboard a Seawind and here we are…
Gato Loco is the next chapter in our sailing experience.
