We had a great time visiting Ensenada during the summer and fall 2002 sailing Gato Loco. Cruise Port marina was a fun place for Gato Loco. The marina was in easy walking distance from downtown (shopping, restaurants and bars).
Ensenada is about 60 miles south of border or a 7 hour drive from Phx. We tried both, flying to San Diego then driving to Ensenada and driving directly to Ensenada. It was a great place to spend time during the summer with weather similar to San Diego (cool).
You can see from the pictures that we all tried the helm. Ellen made great progress getting her sea legs.
Gato Loco had a double slip with lots of room. We also had great neighbors.
Rick and Frankie sampling the treats at La Bufadora.
Neely keeping close eye on seals hanging out on nav light.
Ellen and Frankie all smiles..
Relaxing in the salon..
Many great meals were prepared from the galley.. A few great drinks also!!
