Neely’s Blog #3
I have meet some friends along the way like Virgil, he was about twice my size with big ears just like Big E has and lives on board thats a lot smaller than our boat. His dad said he was a rescue dog from the pound in L.A. area. We meet on Isla Coronado both really glad we were on shore to take care of business so we didn’t spend anytime with each other just enough to sniff while passing.
Hey Sukey, I meet another friend well actually she was on her boat and I saw her from the dock while my mom talked to her dad. And guess what her name was “Sukey”. How about that!!!! Of course she didn’t have treats like when you visit me. Sukey is living on a boat called Endless Summer. A beautiful 47ft catamaran and has spent her winters in Puerto Vallarta but will be sailing back to San Francisco with her dad.She looks like those dogs you see riding on a fire truck white with all those black dots.
At the Loreto Fest I meet a lot of friends like Bridgett, she was a small pug that fell into the water while her master was having dinner.Thank goodness for the Mexican security guard saw her and dove in to save her. She doesn’t know how to swim so unlike me who loves to swim a lot!!!!! I am always wanting to jump off the boat into the water anytime someone is swimming. Look out here I come!!!!
I meet Pearl a 5 yr old golden retriever and she was wearing a huge pearl necklace. Her mom says she likes to wear jewelry around her neck also. I thought I was the only one who did that!!!! She came from Canada to her family that already had a 10 yr old golden and both live on a boat. Wow What a life!!!
Then there was Zoe the yorkie, she was a little shy and really didn’t want her picture taken.
There were so many dogs at the Loreto Fest this year so it made the Fest even better and the best part of all was us dogs were well behaved.
I do love to be on the boat, the dingy, or just swimming but I always love it when I am on shore exploring, walking, or just plain laying around. I don’t think I can give up living on land yet and be a full time sailor but I am glad my mom and dad have given me this experience.
Some dog fun… Neely
Until the next dog gone update
Budster here. All is well in Cholla. I liked that picture of you looking forward off the trampoline. I am sure you were looking for cat’s paws on the water. The wind in that pic certainly does not look fur-rocious. If you glance up every now and then , you might see mare’s tails in the sky. Boy, a big horsy apple right now to slobber on would be grrreat!!
Welp, that’s it fur now, Buddy
