Leg 2 Underway at 5 AM (San Carlos to Santa Rosalia)
Victor & Leslie Rangel, Bill, Frankie, Neely & Lowell are onboard for Leg 2 as we pull away from Marina Real at 5 AM Sunday morning bound for Santa Rosalia. Distance 72km. Hoping for a 10 – 12 hour crossing to Baja. . . . . Victor already caught the first fish of Leg 2 and surprisingly the first of Baja 09. Bill and crew were too busy with heavy air sailing. Winds are light (6kts) from the NW.

Until the next Update… The GatoLoco Crew
_____________________________________________________________ Leg 1 April 11-19, Crew: Bill, Bruce & Cynthia Tegge, Clyde Betts sail from Puerto Penasco to San Carlos |
The crew of Gato Loco, Leg 1 has returned to Puerto Penasco safely. We pulled into Puerto Penasco about 6 am this morning after taking a red-eye Albatros bus from Guaymas. We all had a wonderful experience this past week and were glad to be a part of it. Thank you for the opportunity to be included. Glad to hear Leg 2 has gotten off to a great start and the fish responded to Victor’s touch (sorry Bill).
It’s time for a long deserved nap and hope we get our land legs back. Have a wonderful crossing!
Cynthia, Bruce and Clyde
