Los Loco Loiterers Cruise – It Begins
Friday May 10th
Yesterday afternoon is a bit of a blur. Chis hit the hardware store for a propane hose, Scott arranged for 40 gallons of drinking water to be delivered to the slip and Alisa, Jamie and I went for provisions. Scott’s water delivery was the most colorful. Picture this… 3 little dock carts connected to each other pulled down the street 5 blocks to the water store, Then returning with the heavy load of 40 gallons a truck with a piano in the back stops to help and attaches the train to his hitch. As they make their way back to the marina, Scott is in the back of the truck playing the piano. Quite the seen and I missed it. Needless to say we’ve got plenty of water. Dinner a Mi Loreto was good and the walk through the historic plaza is always delightful.
Today were off to Isla Coronados. This is the first time for the new crew. We’re off the dock early and winds are light so we motor the 5 miles to our anchorage. There’s only 2 other boats and we take anchor in the middle of the bay in 8’ of water. It’s time to enjoy the beautiful turquoise water and white sand beach anchorage. The details of the day are caught in the Instagram video Crew change in Loreto “Los Loco Loiterers day 1”. Roger for friends that don’t known him he has is own band Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. He’s the front man playing guitar and singing. The band has a big following nation wide. Being in this special setting he plans on recording a sunset serenade song each evening and sending it to his YouTube channel. Follow this link to tonight’s song ( link ). Saturday May 11th
Weather looks good for cruising to one of my favorite anchorage on the north end of the big island Isla Carmen call V-Cove. It’s like lake Powell with canyon walls, sea caves and lots of under water structure for diving. Winds start out light and build so we can sail the last half of the passage. It’s a small anchorage and we find one other boat anchored in deeper waters. No problem we can take the shallow achorage closer to shore. It’s another full day enjoying the anchorage documented in the video “Happy Mother’s day”
