Good Bye to the Northern Sea.
Tuesday April 30th
As we depart the norther Sea I think it was a little fickle this year, delaying our departure and then shutting down it’s wind for our passage south. This was the first year we’ve experience a delay. The weather system was quite extensive and then the doldrums. Passages after Bay of LA have been flat calm making easy run under power. Last might we arrived at our next anchorage 15 miles south of San Francisquto where we usually layover. Making Cabo San Miguel shortens the passage to Santa Rosalia so we can arrive mid afternoon if we get some wind assist.
Our Cabo San Miguel anchorage was marginal 
at best. I don’t remember having anchoring problems in the past but it took us 3 tries to get a good hook and visible checking the anchor it was set with a rock involved which is not the best. We immediately went to the beach which was full of cool driftwood that Marcia loved. Nice weather and dinner. Weather forecast shows that a cornel wind system will be blowing south of us and arund 9:30 we experienced winds out of the south west. Not being totally confident in our anchor Chris and I took turns on anchor watch until things settled down 2ish. We need some rest today.
Up at sunrise and headed to Santa Rosalia. Winds are light with a slight current in our favor. As the day progressed winds arrived allowing us to motor sail with light seas. Overall a nice passage to SR arriving 3:30. The marina is under new management and there’s no fuel on the dock and SR is experiencing water shortage so no water until 9 tomorrow.
Dinner at Tanga steak house hosted Raul and Edwardo friends we meet years ago laying over in SR.
Wednesday May 1st
Provision, fuel and water done we depart 10ish heading to Conception Bay. It’s windy today and looks very promising to be a good sailing day. Today it’s only a 40 mile passage and we expect to arrive in Santispac beach in Conception and dinner at Armando’s. What a beautiful day sailing either light motor kicker or totally sailing. The final arrival in Conception we had 20 knots on our stern fling into the Bay at 9 kts. Life is good and dinner was excellent. Tomorrow Mulege.
