Gato Loco finds Light winds to Puerto Lobos
The Gato Loco crew reported light winds and flat seas on their first leg to Puerto Lobos. They departed at sunrise as captured by Rob who must have been up very early. Phone service out of Puerto Lobos was good sending texts and emails. The sunset was spectacular from their anchorage. They’ve had a few first leg equipment challenges that they have managed. The final photo was taken by Dawn as they departed Friday morning with a fresh 10 knot breeze and flat seas for Puerto Refugio.

Weather looks to be building today and they are in a perfect anchorage. The Puerto Refugio anchorage has many options to have good protection. Hopefully, they have much better actual weather than forecasted as we see here in Phoenix. They won’t have any communications available while in the island anchorage. Based on forecasted weather they will probably hang in Refugio until Monday or Tuesday. This anchorage has lots of sights to see and they will enjoy their time laying over. We might not hear from them until Wednesday as they make it to Gonzaga where internet is available.
Until the Next Update
