Gato Loco Satellite Update – Almost Home

Thursday June 6th Gato Loco is making the final journey home to Penasco today. We started our journey from Puerto Refugio on Angle Island 105 miles due south of Penasco. We had an awesome total darkness start with stars aglow. Winds have been building since sunrise. Our first 4 hours we covered 31 miles sail only. Winds at 20, Waves have build to 7′ and we’re hand steering our way to Penasco. Looks like we should arrive 5 – 6 pm time frame. Great day to finish the sailing season with a down wind run home. See everybody soon. All good on Gato Loco. Until the next update.
Photo blogs of the journey still to come.

D & I wanna join a leg sometime!!!!?
Lowell, you words and photos of the baja adventure have brought me smiles and beautiful memories of when Helen and I visited many of your mooring sites from the landlubber side of the peninsula. Her pain will be over soon and she will be in the wind and sea to watch over you, sail safe my friends until Cholla reunites us.
