Gato Loco, Satellite Update, Another Sea of Cortez crossing

Wednesday May 8th
Yesterday was our second crossing of the Sea of Cortez from Bahia San Francisquito on the Baja side to the mainland Sonora coast to a small anchorage call Jullio VIllo. Our morning started with a very special treat of a small pod of Orca killer whales. There were two adults caring for a small one. Probably a family. Orcas are very rarely seen in the Sea of Cortez, only once before for me.
The crossing took us 12 hours to cover 80 miles with the good winds starting on a broad reach and finally dead down wind forcing us to tack to make the anchorage.
We’re working on photo blogs that will be sent while were in San Carlos on marina wifi.
We’re underway this morning heading into Marina Real later this afternoon.
All good on Gato Loco
Until the next update
