Rally Days – Marquer Beach Party
It’s Friday the 13th and we hear on the radio there’s a big party in San Jaunico in honor the this occasion. We hanging here in Marquer and it’s the day for Ralph & Helen’s french toast breakfast. It’s always a treat we look forward to. Lots of accessories make it special. Thank you Ralph & Helen.
Starting to think about the crew change Sunday, we decide to sail into Puerto Escondido and take care of fuel and water for the next leg. Crossing the channel between Isla Carmen and Donzante we’re hitting 7.5kt and enjoying another good sailing day. After getting supplies we head back out and the winds are perfect for an afternoon of playing in 15kt winds before heading back to Marquer for tonight’s beach party.
Last night Kurt took the Gato Loco’s dinghy out for a high speed run and had to be rescued (no power to the prop. This morning we took it to shore and disassemble the lower unit and found the nut ring that holds the guts in place had come loose. Tightening it back up and all is working. Kurt and I both worried about loosing Gato Loco dinghy motor all night. We’re both very happy to have it working again.
Today Kurt is testing JollyDogs dinghy out at high speed (living dangerously).

Nothing like KeyLime pie on the beach. Thanks to Carol on Stray Cat for the treat. The beach on the south end of the anchorage is a good party place and of course Ralph knows the best place. This is the last night to have the Rally crew together as we scatter tomorrow morning. It’s been a blast and very nice meeting new Rally folks Mark and Isebelle on JollyDogs and Barry and Sue on WindGlider. Hope to see everybody again next year. Here’s the farewell Rally Photos

Hi Lowell & Frankie
What a wonderful Rally. It does my heart good to see so many people having a great time on their Seawinds. Some beautiful photos and great memories. Lowell can you send me the photo of the four Seawinds anchored in front of the magnificent cliff. Definitely one for our website.
Best wishes to everyone
