Not sure of the times. Very mellow day as we motor sailed down to San Juanico cove. We made a brief stop to do some snorkeling at Punta Pulpito. (Punta Pulpito is a large rock outcropping that is highly visible from all directions.) Upon Leaving here Bill caught his first catch of the trip. A manta ray. In keeping with Bills strict policy of catch and release he released it before it got to the boat. This was the second lure lost this trip to fish who did not want to become dinner. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" vspace=\"2\" align=\"right\" width=\"196\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gatolocosailing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/img00119.jpg\" hspace=\"2\" alt=\"IMG00119\" height=\"158\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We arrived in San Juanico and went to the south end to Tres Pilars to do some more snorkeling. Snorkeled around for a little while with lots of fish, lots of stingrays, and good visibility on the south side of the rocks.<\/p>\n<p>We then motored over further into the cove and took anchor for the night. We went for a hike along the long sand beach and up a nearby hill to see one of the nicest bays I have seen in all of the sea of cortez. The crew on the way northbound will enjoy the area there for snorkeling and spearfishing, and the tranquility of the place.<\/p>\n<p>A late dinner and bed.
