Tuesday May 29th, 4:30 AM my alarm goes off with Frankie and Neely in our Phoenix house. Today is a travel day to Gato Loco, flying to LAX and then on to Loreto. It\u2019s amazing how busy the Phoenix airport is at 5:30 AM.. Our leg back to Penasco has Rick and Paul on board and Paul is traveling from Phoenix with me. We we meet Rick at LAX where we worked our way through the masses with computer problems on passport verification. Finally made in the party wagon flown by Alaska departing at 10 arriving Loreto 2ish after loosing an hour to mountain standard time.<\/p>\n

Arriving in Puerto Escondido we lucked out with the water taxi standing by on the dock taking us straight to Gato Loco. Another bit of luck as we find Pedro\u2019s store open at the marina so we can do our provisioning  while tied to the Escondido dock. Yet one more bit of luck, the Portabella restaurant is also open and a seafood quesadilla was finally the first real meal we\u2019ve had today.. <\/p>\n

5:30, we motor out of Escondido heading for a near by anchorage to get some rest. <\/p>\n

Where is Moon Drifter?? crosses my mind as we exit prompted us to make a call on the VHF and instantly I hear Ralph answers indicating their at the south lobe of Honeymoon Cove on Isla Danzante just 3 miles east. A 90 degree turn from our north heading and we\u2019re anchored next Moon Drifter in crystal clear water warm enough to swim. Perfect. <\/p>\n

\"IMG_7361\"<\/a>\"IMG_7365\"<\/a>  Ralph & Helen have been enjoying great weather since we left and will be cruising the area for at least another month. They\u2019ve been south beyond Agua Verde and north to the north shore of Isla Carmen spending 3 days in our Vee Cove. Very nice to catch up with them.. While relaxing on their boat bees began arriving so we got to watch Ralph defend Helen. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re worn out and the only thing to revive us is some swimming as the sun sets and some cocktails.<\/p>\n

A peaceful night is just what we need.<\/p>\n

Wed May 30th<\/p>\n

Very restful night. Some morning snorkeling and we pull anchor 9:30 and bid goodbye to Ralph & Helen hoping to see them at the Catalina Rally this summer.<\/p>\n

Destination today.. San Juanico 35 miles north.<\/p>\n

The Google Earth photo below has our most probably route north. We shall see.  <\/p>\n
