.Where has the day gone…lunch in Mulege already? This is the little hotel near the mouth of the river at Mulege with a dirt landing strip next to it…just a short dingey ride away thanks to Victor’s speedy little 10 horse motor…weeee!!!<\/p>\n

.(We had a successful, chum-free sail to Mulege…looks like our prayers to Wilsono worked! Water was like glass…looks like the curse was broken…)<\/p>\n

.On our way into town our cab driver, Francisco, took us to the mission…at 300 years old, it was gorgeous overlooking the river…<\/p>\n

.The gang above the mission on an overlook, overlooking the river and a gazillion palm trees…last year’s hurricane wiped out a large number of them, but it was still beautiful…<\/p>\n

Fun fact: palm trees are not trees…they are a large weed…not that<\/em> kind of weed…<\/p>\n

\"IMG.Of course we ran into Steve and Kathy from Cholla while we were in Mulege…small world, isn’t it…they are doing a Harley road trip down the Baja with some friends…had a tasty lunch at a great little cantina…5 orders of tacos de pescado later, we were a very satisfied crew…<\/p>\n

.Due to our star seaman status, they got us the best table in the house…even though we are roughing it down in Baja, we found game 4 of Los Suns & the Lakers…after a vat of tequila, numerous cervezas, and a large number of bloody marys, we cheered our team to victory! Viva Los Suns!!!<\/p>\n

.No matter where we go, CJ is making new friends left and right…this evening was a rousing game of ping pong…the reigning queen of Mexican ping pong was dethroned tonight, even if she was from from San Diego…como se dice “ping pong” en espanol?<\/p>\n

Leg 5 wants to thank the group kitty for buying us dinner and vast amounts of alcoholic beverages this evening…our biggest bill yet…here’s hoping for very smooth sailing and no chumming on our way to San Juanico manana! Hasta pasta, folks! Signing off…<\/p>\n
