The decision to sail toward Puerto Lobo turned out to be a great plan. After getting a later departure out of Penasco winds did us a big favor pushing us into Puerto Lobos. As I \"IMG_1011\"<\/a>reported in the last blog winds started in in the 5kt range but by 1 pm we had motors off and winds at 18-20 gusting to 24 on our starboard steer and Gato Loco pushing 10kts at times. We got a big breakfast cooked on the grill before winds arrived just as Villa predicted. Waves grew to 6\u2019and to give auto helm Chris and I did 3 hours of hand steering as we surged to 11kts at times. It was and epic sail.<\/p>\n

Arriving near sunset we have a pod of dolphins all around the boat feeding on something? Eventually at sunset the dolphins started playing and jumping.<\/p>\n

Murril recovered from a tough day of Sea sickness and cooked an awesome pasta dinner. All good on Gato Loco.<\/p>\n

Heading to Puerto Refugio tomorrow. Looks like we will again have good winds.<\/p>\n
