Tuesday, our sail from Mulege to San Juanico with the lightest winds of the trip so far.<\/p>\n

Tuesday morning we sail out of the Mulege river channel 6:30 with a nice breeze coming out of Conception. Rounding Punta Conception and turning south winds are gone until south of Palpito. We arrive San Juanico 4ish in time to play.<\/p>\n

Your San Juanico anchorage. Warm water and Todd is in snorkeling as soon as we arrive. Bat rays are jumping near the boat all afternoon. Chris and Todd keep the paddle boards moving.<\/p>\n

A visit to the cruiser shrine tree is always a must. Our 2012 offering is looking good. I couldn\u2019t find last years offering.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s 8 other boats in the anchorage. Woo Hoo, we find the best anchoring spot empty and soon claim it. There was a huge ship wreck party here a week ago with a report of 25 boats anchored. <\/p>\n

Wednesday May 15th <\/p>\n

Nice cool westerly overnight. Chris and Todd fix another awesome breakfast and then we\u2019re off to Isla Coranados.<\/p>\n

Beautiful broad reach sail all the way to Coronados 15 nm south giving us lots of time to relax on the bow.<\/p>\n

Isla Coronados we find great water visibility and we find our fellow Seawind boat friends Stray Cat having the anchorage to themselves. As soon as our anchor is down dolphins swim by and Todd and Chris jump to try to catch up and swim with them. Nice try but the dolphins won the race.<\/p>\n

We have netting up in this anchorage to protect from a bee invasion. Chris\u2019s selfie makes him look like a bride with all the netting on his head.<\/p>\n

A few bees show up on our outside trash can but disappear at sunset as usual.<\/p>\n

Thursday May 16th<\/p>\n

We\u2019re off to one of my favorite anchorage Vee Cove today. Weather is a little sketchy for anchoring. The anchorage is open to the north with vertical cliffs that reflect waves. North winds can make for a very lumpy situation and the wind is forecasted to turn and come from the north during the night tonight. We decide go in and enjoy the day while things are calm and deal with the lumpy seas overnight.<\/p>\n

Best snorkeling anchorage yet. Lots of structure below the surface and reef fish everywhere. <\/p>\n

Friday May 17<\/p>\n

As expected our Vee Cove anchorage is rocking as we wake up but calm enough to have the final breakfast at anchorage. Chris and Todd can\u2019t believe the cruise is coming to a close. Today we either sail to the Loreto waterfront or on to Puerto Escondido depending on conditions.\"20190517_131600\"<\/a>\"20190517_143401\"<\/a>\"20190517_181706\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Rounding Isla Carmen into the Loreto channel winds are blowing 15-20 out of the north so Puerto Escondido here we come.<\/p>\n

What an awesome sail to conclude the Leg 2 cruise. We motor in 3ish with time to clean up Gato Loco and then some shore laxation time.<\/p>\n

These guys were a great crew. They kept us entertained, kept things ship shape, were awesome cooks and learned to sail Gato Loco. We\u2019ll see them out on the water and in Penasco soon. Great job guys.<\/p>\n
