It’s time to talk sailing the Sea of Cortez now that the holidays are over. The 2017 sailing season schedule is beginning to develop with our Seawind Rally date being nailed down. The Rally is a fun opportunity to sail with friends while we’re in the Loreto area. Working with Ralph and Helen on Moon Drifter, we’ve planned the start for Sunday May 21st with boats collecting in Puerto Escondido for dinner at the Tripui resort. Our local friends Connie and Elvin have again offered to host a happy hour in the near by Jucalito anchorage the following Monday night so we have a little planning done. We’ll work on the remaining rally itinerary during our Tripui dinner based on weather conditions. Having this stake in the ground we’ll begin working on the planning for the entire cruising season for Gato Loco. Departure from Penasco will be a couple weeks later this year with the later date for the Rally. We’re looking forward to another fun filled season. Below I’ve put together a recap video of last season using photos that made the blogs. This should bring back a few memories. Enjoy the video. <\/p>\n
