Seawind Baja Rally #5 Begins
Sunday, May 5th
Full rally crew is on Gato Loco after picking up Frankie, Bill & Carol flying in from San Carlos. Dave and Ellen arrived last night. Frankie has another “only in Mexico” story. She arrived at the San Carlos airport and found her ticket had been cancelled. The flight was full so there was no room. Finally they convinced the Calafia staff to put Bill in the co-pilot seat and put Frankie on if they promised to pay when she arrive in Loreto. Frankie was the last person on the plane and had to lock the door latches. A little stressful but a happy ending.
Dave and Ellen happy to be on board. The gang back from the bar above.

Gill, We got a special visit from some of your friends. This is not Spot but she gave us a up close tail up solute. We all thought of you.
While this was going on there were over 1000 little dolphins feeding all around us. Ellen was so happy to see all the dolphins and ecstatic for our close up whale visit. A perfect first day sail for the rally.

Tonight we’re hosted on Rob & Char’s 60’ trawler for happy hour, going to be a good anchorage start to the Rally.
Pulling into the Ballandra Anchorage, there’s 15 boats and still room for us near where we anchored on our last visit. Weather perfect, going to be good sleeping.
Until the next Update.
