Puerto Lobos with the wind at our back.
Awesome first day with a strong afternoon norther wind gusting to 20+. Motors off and flying south at 7-9 kts forcing us to hand steer and give the autohelm a break. John took his turn at the wheel and was maybe a little to intense for him.
You think these guys are enjoying themselves. This is as each of us have shared steering with winds gusting above 20 at our back making this one of our best passages to Puerto Lobos ever.
Our new head sail known as the screacher worked perfect and was very manageable.
Nice arriving in Puerto Lobos 2 hours early and of course the traditional lighthouse photo. Another note.. Puerto Lobos now has 4 bar 4G cell/internet service allowing us to send out another blog
As if things couldn’t be better, we set our anchor and immediately a fishing boats stops by to talk and gives a dozen big blue shrimp they snagged in their fishing nets and refused to take any money. John gave them our snack tray and finally we talked them into taking 2 cervices.
Beautiful calm anchorage for the night with Lobos in our sunset view while fishing boats returning with their daily catch.
Until the next Update
