San Carlos to Puerto Penasco June 15 - 22 2005

June 16 (Quick update while we'er still on wireless)

Survived another bus ride. Trip was uneventful, starting at 8AM from south 7th st in Phoenix. At the border crossing in Nogalas we had to get lougage and hand carry it across. I got a red light for search, Walt went through no problem and got his turist visa without much delay. Stops, Tucson, Nogalas, Magnalaia, Santa Anna, Hermosillo the then Guaymas (9 1/2 hours). It's a small world, Bill left Penacos and joined our bus in Hermosillo.

Nice Bus!

Gato Loco was in the water when we arrived at Marina San Carlos. The marina had phoned me indicating mechanical problems might delay launching until today (dodged our first delay). We got her cleaned up before diner last night. The big challenge today is to resolve our low battery situation. We'er currently trying to get marina Seca to pickup a new one from Guaymas for us. Still looks like we might make way by mid-day. We have a anchorage 35 miles norht as our target.

Until the next update… The Gato Loco Crew
