Sunset from beachside restaurant in San Carlos.

All is good in San Carlos.

The flight Phx – Hermosillo turned out to be one of the roughest we’ve been on in some time. Pilots had to approach in a thunderstorm. We were all happy to be on the ground. Cloudy cool day in San Carlos with a great sunset. We were serenaded as the sun set at the beach side restaurant “Charles’s Rock”. Very nice way to start the cruise.

Today has been a relaxing day. This past Thursday Mexico removed the requirement to do check in/out with the local port captain for domestic Mexico ports. The check out now a simple notification to the marina of your destination and who is on board with no charge. Cruising in Mexico is now much easier!

A late breakfast some shopping and a Mercado run and we think we’re ready to cast off.  A late afternoon treat… All the fishing boats came in with a big load of tuna and we scored two huge fresh tuna filets (life is good). The marina was very noisy last night (disco until 3AM) so we’re pulling out of the marina tonight to the outer harbor or Martina cove.

Gato Loco now has cargo bound for Puerto Penasco after Frankie made an art purchase today. She can’t wait until it arrives in June.

Until the next update… The Gato Loco Crew
